It's after 1 am, and we are just not settling in for bed! We have had a full day of Christmas festivities, mostly calling and skyping our families! I got to watch my brothers open their gifts over skype, and talk to and see Isaac's family. It was great, only the connection wasn't very good so we kept cutting in and out.
Isaac has this strange tradition where he sleeps on the couch every Christmas Eve, he's done it since he was 5 years old, so I decided to try it out last night. Oh man. I woke up at 9 am with horrible back pain, but the joy of Christmas took that away:) We took the boys outside, ate some Christmas bread with our coffee, did our Christmas devotions then started opening presents. We really enjoyed everything our families sent, and loved giving each other our gifts. I am so thankful my baby is home this year. It's our first Christmas together as a married couple where he is actually here. Days like this you just can't take for granted, especially in the military. You never know if he'll be here, or down range next year. Just reminds me how much I have to be thankful for. We are trying to decide whether or not to go to Berlin this week with Josh and Lyndsey.. we are just homebodies and feel like it takes so much effort to go on trips. But you know, we don't want to waste our time in Germany sitting on our couch. Well we are going to go lay down, and continue another tradition.. watching Lord of the Rings on Christmas.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, always remember the "reason for the season" and BE THANKFUL:)

Busy, busy.
Wow. It's Monday again. This weekend was a blur! On Saturday Isaac and I got up early and went to Ramstein to get some snow gear. Apparently the BX/PX enjoys making very important items the most expensive they can. We got snow pants, gloves, Isaac got a jacket, and I got a hat. We got the cheapest stuff possible, and still spent nearly $300. Ouch. That isn't easy this close to Christmas. After Ramstein we went to Trier with Josh and Lyndsey. It had potential to be fun.. but it was SOOOOOOO cold. And smart Kayla decided to wear cloth boots, which got soaked. It felt like I was walking around barefoot. But it was a very nice Christmas market. On Sunday we got up super early, (6:30) and drove the boys to the sitters. She lives in Weiswieler, which is about 30 minutes out of baumholder. The roads were horrible and it was still snowing. Then we rushed back, because we were late, to get to the Wagon wheel, where we were meeting the bus. (We are volunteers for the CYS snowboarding trips) We get there and guess what? They had canceled the trip!!! Thanks for calling. One the the CYS supervisors still wanted to go so Isaac and I went with him. It could have been fun, but my boots were too small, and the snow was blowing in my frozen face haha. Overall it was good. We got home, got the boys, and laid in bed watching House till bedtime. This week will be pretty busy, but the good news is Saturday is CHRISTMAS:):) I've only gotten Isaac one thing, and I have NO CLUE what else to get him:( Ugh. I'm already homesick, but very thankful I am getting to spend this Christmas with my husband.

Lazy day? Yeah right.
Well. Today was suppose to be my 'lazy stay in bed all day' day. I wake up to the movers coming to get our loan furniture at 9 am, which wouldn't seem early to most people.. but I was not pleased. I also woke up to a text message from a neighbor from 1 am, saying "Your dogs are being upset" Really? My dogs were sleeping next to me in their kennel. Grrrr!
Isaac had staff duty, so OF COURSE my dogs decided to make my lazy day completely impossible. No matter how many times I took them outside, they still wanted to wrestle VERY noisily in the living room. After taking them to the dog run (in the freezing snow and wind) they decided to run INTO my neighbors house, jump on her couch, before running up the stairs to our apartment. Isaac comes home for dinner and magically they are little angels. I hope the rest of the night can be relaxing, and if that means the boys get their mouths taped shut and put in their kennel.. I WILL RELAX! :)
